When you post a story on Facebook, the content is visible for 24 hours – available via your profile page or the story carousel at the top of every user’s newsfeed.
Sharing content via this feature is a great way to maximise your reach and engage your friends and followers with snapshots into your day – with both photos and videos able to be shared as story content.
One of the best things about Facebook stories is their direct link with Instagram. Because the two platforms are owned and managed by Meta, users can effortlessly upload a single story and set it to upload on both platforms. By doing this, it becomes even easier to track engagement and compare audience interaction across the two social platforms.
Of course, tracking engagement is only beneficial when you know how to count views and where to find the data on who has viewed your story. Which is where this article comes in…
3 Steps to See Who Viewed My Facebook Story
- Open the Facebook app and navigate to the news feed
- Click on the box labelled ‘Your Story’ at the top of the screen. This should be situated to the left of the screen, followed by a carousel of other users’ stories
- Tap ‘Viewers’ in the bottom left hand corner of your story screen to see how many views your story has received and who those viewers are
Tracking this information will let you know which users are engaged with your content, so that you can continue to create and share content that your friends and followers will love.
Happy creating!
