3 Steps to Turn off Active Status
- In the Facebook app, click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner
- Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Settings’
- Underneath the ‘Audience and Visibility’ heading in your Settings menu, click on ‘Active Status’
Once in the active status menu, you will see a toggle and the label ‘Show When You’re Active’. If you want to turn off the green light attached to your profile, then make sure that this toggle is switched to off.
You can change this back at any time, depending on how visible you want your time online to be.
