Connecting Contacts With Facebook
Perhaps the simplest way to find someone on Facebook using their phone number is by linking your Facebook app with your device contact book.
To do this, navigate to the menu page on your Facebook profile and then select ‘Settings and Privacy’.
Choose ‘Settings’ then scroll down until you see an option labelled ‘How People Can Find and Contact You’.
Through this menu option, you can allow Facebook to suggest your profile to other users based on your phone number.
Connecting via Device Permissions
You can also find friends using a phone number by enabling your device’s contacts to connect to Facebook.
This option is found in your ‘Settings’ as above, scrolling down to the option labelled ‘Device Permissions’. Clicking on this will open a menu – tap ‘Contacts’ to see the device settings and how Facebook is able to access your device contacts.
Clicking on the ‘Update Settings’ button at the bottom of the page will invite you to grant Facebook access to your contacts – thereby making it easy to pull users into your suggested friends using their phone number.
Ask Someone Else
