When you see a post from a friend, local business, or page on Facebook, are you someone who reacts to show support or someone who simply scrolls past?
The beauty of Facebook is that the platform has continually and consistently adapted its reaction options in line with the needs of its users. The simple ‘Like’ and ‘Dislike’ buttons have been replaced by countless emojis, which allow users to select one of seven main reactions – or indeed add a comment or support the post in some other way.
How to Add a Reaction
In order to choose from the different reactions and share your thoughts via an emoji, simply click and hold the ‘Like’ button next to the thumbs up icon. This will open a pop up window of reactions to choose from, ranging from the love heart to an angry red face.
Alternatively, you can react to a post with your own thoughts via a comment, send the post to another user on Facebook, or share the post directly to increase its visibility.
All of these reactions contribute towards the credibility of a page and ensure that its audience is as wide and diverse as possible. The more reactions that a post gets, the more users Facebook will show it to via their feed – meaning that any reactions big or small will help the post and its connected page or profile to expand in reach.
