What Happens When You Block Someone on a Page?
When you block a user or follower on a business page, they will no longer be able to see or interact with page updates, message the page, contact or interact with other page users, or invite the page to events.
In essence, they will no longer be visible on your page – and will not be able to view updates or posts.
5 Steps to Block Someone on a Page
- The first step in blocking someone from your business page is to open Facebook in your business page view
- Once you’re active as a business page, click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner and navigate to your Settings menu – either via the ‘Settings & Privacy’ button or by selecting the cog icon along the top
- Under ‘Audience and Visibility’ select ‘Blocking’
- Select ‘Add to Blocked List’
- Search for the user who you want to block
Alternatively, you can block a user directly from one of their comments or posts. To do so, press and hold on the comment shared by the user, and select ‘Block User’ from the pop up menu that appears.
The user will not be notified of the block but will find themselves unable to view page posts or share comments on the feed.
