Today’s guide is for all Facebook users who have multiple accounts under a single login, and who have access to Facebook’s relatively new ‘Account Switch’ feature located in their app menu.
The account switch feature is designed to enable a quick and easy change for users who might have a personal account and a business account, or who might run a community page as well as their own personal page.
The idea is that these accounts exist within the same account centre and are accessible using the same login information – yet exist as different accounts on the platform. To switch between them, users simply need to open their menu and tap one specific button…
3 Steps to Switch Accounts
- Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of their Facebook screen
- Click on the dropdown arrow button next to their profile picture and profile name
- Select the account that they wish to switch to
Alternatively, if you have just one alternate account, or one that you visit more often than the rest, you will find this one next to your profile name with a revolving arrow wrapped around its profile image. Clicking this button will automatically take you to that second account page without needing to select it from a dropdown list.
And voila! Just a couple of clicks, and you could be experiencing Facebook through a whole new set of eyes!
