Facebook isn’t just a great place to connect with friends and family members – it is also an ideal platform on which to share and store photos, videos, and other memories.
When you upload a single photo, or a set of images to Facebook, they appear in several different places, including on your Facebook profile feed and in your profile albums. In this article, we’re helping you find old and more recent photos via a quick and easy process.
How to Find Photos You’ve Uploaded to Facebook
Photos that you have uploaded are easy to find on Facebook. Simply visit your profile page via the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of the page, and then select ‘Photos’ at the top of your profile feed just underneath your profile picture and name.
A carousel of albums will appear along the top of your photos feed, with a grid of images posted underneath. This grid is compiled of photos that you have uploaded to Facebook, with the most recent uploads appearing at the top of the grid.
NOTE: Regardless of whether you upload the image to an album or directly onto your profile in a status update, all photos that you add to Facebook yourself will appear in this grid. Because of this, this is by far the simplest way of quickly gaining access to all of your photos on Facebook.
Using Albums to Organise Photos on Facebook
Of course, if you upload images and photos to Facebook on a regular basis, then you will likely find yourself in need of a little organisation.
Albums are a useful feature on Facebook, inviting users to create and arrange their uploads into as many albums as they like. Collaboration and groups albums are also now available, inviting different users to all take ownership of a single album and compile all their images into a shared online space.
To find photos directly via your albums, scroll along the carousel at the top of your grid of photos until you find one labelled ‘Albums’. Click to open your different Facebook albums or select the ‘Create Album’ button to start a brand new album.
Finding Photos That You’ve Been Tagged In
This final part of the article is dedicated to those photos that someone else has uploaded and tagged you in.
To find tagged photos, follow the above steps to reach the photos grid with the carousel of albums along the top of the photo feed. Click on the one that says ‘Tagged Photos’ to open a grid of all the images that you have been directly tagged in.
This will likely contain a blend of photos that you have uploaded yourself and tagged yourself in, and that others have uploaded and tagged you in.
NOTE: You can activate a tagging block on your Facebook that requires you to approve all tags before they appear on your profile. This prevents unwanted images from being linked to your profile.
And there you have it! With photos making up such a big part of the Facebook experience for many users, from selecting the perfect profile picture to sharing memories with friends and family, being able to quickly and easily find those photos is a big part of your experience. Happy posting!
