If you’ve ever copied and pasted some text on Facebook, perhaps moving a post that you find in a private group to a more public feed or pasting a comment you’ve shared into a direct messenger chat with friends, then you’ll be somewhat familiar with the ‘Clipboard’ feature.

This is a hidden part of Facebook that stores the data and text you want to copy, until you have pasted it somewhere.

The Clipboard is not a specific or dedicated area on Facebook. Rather, it is a setting within your device that picks up and remembers the text you want to copy, until you are ready to paste it somewhere.

It works in much the same way as a URL that you copy via the ‘Share’ button at the bottom of a post – with Facebook and your device remembering that data so that you can easily paste it.

So, while you cannot find the Clipboard as a dedicated area or tool in Facebook, it is always active behind the scenes when you want to copy and paste something.

Is There a Clipboard for Saved Posts?

If you decide to save a post or reel that you see on Facebook, this does not get stored on the clipboard – instead, it is sent to your Saved posts feed.

To access your saved posts, you simply need to navigate to your account menu and select the ‘Saved’ content block. In this menu you will find all the posts that you’ve saved for future use.

We hope this helps! The clipboard may not be a physical destination on Facebook but it offers invaluable support to those who want to copy and paste some text or a link from one place to another.
