A collage is a great way to showcase multiple photos and share them with your friends and contacts on Facebook on a single screen.
Whether uploaded as a cover photo or simply shared on your feed, collages are the perfect way to capture the essence of an event or special occasion – and are a good alternative to a carousel of photos.
But how do you make them?
Creating a Collage Cover Photo
Did you know that Facebook now invites users to create a collage cover photo that uses up to six photos to produce a unique cover image for their profile?
In order to turn your cover photo into a collage, follow these 3 steps:
- Navigate to your profile on Facebook and then tap on the camera icon in the bottom right hand corner of your cover photo
- Select ‘Create Collage’ from the pop up menu of options
- Follow the instruction, selecting up to six photos or images from your camera roll which will be compiled into your collage
As you select your photos, the collage will be built at the top of the screen so that you can see the layout and how it will be presented.
Once you’re happy with the finished collage, you can share it – watching as your profile is brought to life by your colourful and personalised collection of photos and images.
Uploading a Collage to Your Feed
Alternatively, if you simply want to make a collage to upload on your feed, the best thing to do is to access Instagram’s Layout app or another collage creation app.
Once you’ve built your collage, you can save it to your device and upload it to Facebook as a single photo post – adding a caption and tagging any friends who feature in the images.
