Facebook Pay, now known as Meta Pay, is an accessible method of payment for any purchase on Facebook, Instagram, or any other app that’s owned and operated by Meta. But it doesn’t end there.
With the rise of social media shopping transforming the way that consumers shop, Meta Pay makes it easier than ever for customers to purchase from their favourite brands without leaving social media.
What’s more, Meta Pay can be used to make donations and to buy gifts for content creators. It also facilitates direct money transfers to friends and contacts – making Meta Pay a one-stop shop for both regular and one-off payments.
Suffice to say, there are plenty of ways that Meta Pay (Facebook Pay) makes life easier for users.
But how do you set it up for quick and easy use?
What Is Meta Pay?
Meta Pay is the same thing as Facebook Pay, just under a broader umbrella name.
It is a digital wallet stored inside your Meta app, which stores credit and debit card details as well as PayPal and other payment details, for access across any Meta-owned app.
The aim is to enable users to pay within the app without having to enter any details – instead simply opening and accessing their digital wallet.
5 Steps to Add Payment Methods to Meta Pay
- Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
- Tap the ‘Settings and Privacy’ button and then ‘Orders and Payments’
- Under the ‘Payment Information’ heading, select ‘Credit and Debit Cards’
- Click on ‘Add Debit or Credit Card’ to link a payment card with your Meta accounts
- You also need to ensure that your email address, contact number, and address is correct and up to date – as this is the information that will be used when you make a purchase
To connect your PayPal account to Meta Pay, click ‘Other Payment Methods’ on the ‘Payment Information’ screen. Select ‘Add Payment Method’ and then choose PayPal to connect your account.
Once complete, making a purchase or transferring money via any Meta-owned app will become both quick and easy. We hope this helps!
